Thousands March In Sacramento to Raise Awareness for Traumatic Brain Injury
Earlier this month, Del Rio & Carichoff, Sacramento Personal Injury law firm, sought to bring attention to Traumatic Brain Injury Awareness Month. Today, we are happy to report that the attorneys and staff at Del Rio & Carichoff are not the only ones in the Sacramento area dedicated to raising awareness about the harsh realities of TBI.
This past Sunday, March 22nd, thousands of Sacramento residents gathered at the State Capitol to show support for survivors of TBI. The 8th annual Walk for Brain Injury Sacramento brought together survivors of TBI, as well as their loved ones, friends and close supporters, to raise funds and build awareness about these challenging and debilitating injuries.
The goal of the March for Brain Injury Sacramento was to raise $75,000 towards TBI research. This funding is sorely needed, as brain injuries remain extremely difficult to diagnose and treat. Much more research and testing needs to be done in order to help doctors and researchers uncover the root causes of some of the most painful and unpredictable symptoms of TBI.
Last weekend's march was a great step in the right direction, as the crowd that gathered in Sacramento was the largest of the 9 TBI walks that occurred simultaneously across California on Sunday.
